Our passion for global water issues, shared educational backgrounds in engineering and economics and common experiences in international development brought us together. Many discussions inspired us to join forces in addressing global issues relating to water and gender.

Water Specialist

Alison is currently researching the resilience of urban water infrastructure and mapping system interdependencies. She has worked as an independent expert for the JRC, with UN-IHE and the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) on transboundary water governance. She has experience in environmental & sustainability consulting and project management. Alison is passionate about water and international development and has worked in more than 10 countries. 

IMESHI WEERASINGHE

Water Specialist

BEng (Hons), MSc (Eng), MSc (Econ) 

Imeshi is a water resources professional with a multi-disciplinary background in engineering (telecommunications and water) and economics. Her experience working in project management in the private, public and academic sectors aids in one of the main focuses of her work, bringing science into practice. Imeshi is passionate about understanding socio-economic challenges associated with water security and has worked in South America, Europe, Asia and Australia.
